My husband and I wanted to spend a weekend out of the city. We went to beautiful Sutter Creek, CA. And let me tell you it was absolutely wonderful!!!! We stayed at the American Exchange Hotel right smack dab in the middle of the town and stayed in the gorgeous Main Street Suite and let me tell you it was just perfect!
After checking in we spent some time shopping in the adorable stores along Main Street. All of the local store owners were very nice and told us a lot about the history of the town. Everything in Sutter Creek was just so peaceful, and very romantic. We ate dinner in the restaurant Bellotti's and the food was excellent and the staff was friendly. After dinner we sat up on the veranda and had a bottle of red wine for one of the many local wineries Avio. To make our stay even better breakfast comes with the room. Off the menu and right down stairs in the Bellotti's restaurant and if you eat there I recommend the smoked ham and eggs. Everything was just wonderful. I can honestly say that Sutter Creek is one of the best small towns I've ever visited! If you ever go through Sutter Creek I recommend you stop, I’m pretty sure that you will fall in love with it like I did!
